A to Z!

The last time Bela and I went to the “city,” we made a stop by a wonderful book store—A to Z Books.  We love it there because the store has a mellow resident cat (!) and used books as well as new ones.  Bela was lucky enough to find a book she had read before and loved (obviously) and a new one to keep her busy.  I found a book for a friend (that I had to read before mailing).

Bela loves books almost as much as I do.

I enjoyed this book so much!

Practice!

Bela was still coughing pretty bad yesterday, so she stayed home while I went to target shoot.  😦 for Bela; 🙂 for me.  The target seemed really far away, but I managed to hit it a few times anyway.  Butch (our coach)was kind enough to let me waste some ammo.  When I told Bela I got to shoot the Smith and Wesson, she was jealous.

Japanese

You might remember that Bela and I received a Try the World box featuring Japanese foods.  We have not yet tried everything, but Bela decided to try the seaweed and tea this weekend.  The tea was a hit!  The seaweed, however, was not.  Sometimes we need to work up to trying new foods.

Post-seaweed face....

Fortunately, we have also found Panda cookies in North Platte stores…we are always willing to try cookies!

Glad To Be Awake

I sure was glad to wake up this morning!  I was having a really strange dream.  The brain is an amazing tangle of synapses, and mine integrated some interesting items from my subconscious last night to form a frightening series of events.

For some unknown reason, I had been hired to sing some Spanish songs by Selena.  Like that wasn’t odd enough, I found myself searching for a band to play for me.  The concert was scheduled to begin in a few hours.

For you poor souls who don’t know which Selena I’m talking about, here’s a link!
